Hurry on up and slow down!  This relaxing river float is also fun for the whole family and friends.  River guides come in all types - all types of fun that is.  Ask them to relay the history of the river and the controversial building of the dam.  Take the short trail up to the petroglyphs.  Enjoy the serenity, the wildlife, watch for Condors flying high above or big blue herons sitting along the banks of the river. 

Like to see a little more?  Private groups can add  an Antelope Canyon Tour to your trip.  Antelope Canyon on the Navajo Reservation is amazingly beautiful.

Due to escalating fuel costs, effective March 10, 2011 a fuel surcharge will be added to all tours as follows;

Children pricing is for ages from 5 to 15 years of age old.

Pick-up at your Resort, Hotel, Private Residence or B&B in a Custom built Mercedes touring van

Travel through Navajo Lands

Travel to Glenn Canyon Dam and view Lake Powell, the Dam and the Colorado River from above.

Arrive at river tour operator location in Page and travel by bus through the walls of the dam to the river below.  The bus guide will tell you the history of the dam being built.

Enjoy your 4 hour smooth water float. Lunch along the way at your leisure.

At the end of your float, meet your Silver Spur Tour Guide for a picnic along the river.  From there we'll take you to see, play and photograph the amazing Balancing Rocks. 

A brief stop at the Navajo Bridge to observe nearly extinct Condor in their natural habit at their nesting grounds.

Enjoy a movie about the Grand Canyon area on the journey back to your hotel.

 

Things To Bring

Wear casual, comfortable clothing, shorts or bathing suits are acceptable.  Tennis shoes or flip-flops are recommended. 

During summer months prepare for sunburn, it is recommended you bring a high SPF sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and cotton long sleeved shirts are suggested.  Heat can be also intense, so Silver Spur Tours provides cooling scarves for additional comfort.  You may want to get wet during the float, so bring a towel. 

In early spring and late fall, layers are recommended as the temperature can vary throughout the day.  Sunscreen and sunglasses are always recommended.

River Guide fees. Gourmet Deli-Style lunch (choose from our menu now or later) , Souvenir Insulated Bistro Bag with fresh fruit, snacks and a Stainless Steel Water Bottle. Scarf filled with hydrating gel for cooling. An after-float picnic. A film about the Grand Canyon area on the way back to your destination.

Exclusions

Taxes of 7.725% will be added to tour price. Optional gratuity for your Silver Spur Tour Guide are not included but are greatly appreciated.

Cancellation Policy

We have a 72 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations must be received in writing via email at info@SilverSpurTours.com or via fax at 928.226.7212. Cancellations received more than 72 hours prior to departure time will receive a full refund less a 3% service charge (this is what the card companies charge us). Cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to time are non-refundable for 50% of the tour price.

Tours are subject to cancellation due to weather, hazardous road conditions, unforeseen circumstances. Any cancellation made by Silver Spur Tours prior to departure will be fully refunded. Silver Spur Tours will make every effort to notify guests of cancellation 24 hours in advance and we will assist our guests in making other arrangements.
